Art

This year in art I learned some things in the class. This would be under the ATL because I can describe how I learned it. I learned how to draw my face in the mirror. It was a tough task because the mirrors were kind of streaky so I couldn't tell what was what that much. I also learned how to make a paper airplane out of construction paper. It is a tough job because you need to constantly make sure the paper is flat.

Español

This semester in spanish class I learned some spanish. This would be under the ATL because I can describe how I learned. I learned spanish from my friends, mostly, and from the book sometimes. I didn't learn much from Royer because he would always just talk spanish but never tell us what the word means.

Reading

This year in reading class I learned how to write a literary analysis essay. It would fall under the ATL catagory because I can describe it. In order to write the essay you must first be sure to have 2 books to compare. Once you have the two books you must start to give your opinions on the books. The 1st paragraph is about similarites, the 2nd is about differences, and the third is a summary.

Mathematics

In mathematics I learned about symetry. This would fall under ATL because I can describe it. In class we learned about symetry because we had to draw a circle and color the inside. The only catch was that we had to make sure that all of the sides were equivalent so that everything in the circl would be the same wether you have it upside down or crooked.

Technology

This year in technology I learned how to type really fast. This would fall under ATL because I can describe how I learned. I can show you how fast I can really type because it took me about 1 second to type this sentence. NO, about 10. I can benifit from this typing because my entire life, in this new generation, I will have to use computers and technology to help me with my job. If I become a doctor than I won't have to use computers as much but i will need to have to type the documents of the patients.

Social Studies

One thing I learned in "history" class was that during the assignment of the battle book most of the people involved in the war were white people that had disagreed with the Mexican gov't because they imprisoned their leader. This would fall under ATL because I can descrive it. This helped us learn because we had to be a soldier in the army and write a letter home telling our family about the war and what they were doing. It also helped me to learn really fast because we only had about a week to finalize everything. I think that I can benifit from this because no matter where I go in Texas people will talk about the Texas revolution. Except for immigrants.

Science

In science class I learned how to properly discect a rat. This would fall under ATL because I can explain everything. When we discected the rat we had to get the pins and pin his arms and legs down. Then we had to get the scalpel and cut him right down the throat to the bottom of the stomach. Once we cut him we had to get the scissors and cut open the rib cage. Next we had to identify the organs and if we could see the esophagus then we would be able to extend teh small intestine.
